My admiration and respect for the wonders of the natural world was cultivated during my childhood in Eastern Montana. This love has manifested into all aspects of my life from my formal education to the way I decorate my home. My journey of self-discovery and search for aesthetically pleasing environments lead me to Bozeman, Montana. While in Bozeman, I have earned two Bachelor’s of Science degrees from Montana State University , one in Psychology and the other in Sustainable Food and Bioenergy Systems. In 2012, I was recognized as the Most Inspired student in Sustainable Food Systems. My education also included service learning experiences and internships for which I created and provided educational materials for the Montana Office of Public Instruction, the Gallatin Valley Food Bank, and Gallatin Valley Farm to School program. Further, I have contributed recipes and Foodway history for two cookbooks. Sunshine and Moonbeams, my first children’s book, was published in March 2015, coinciding with the Spring Equinox. On top of all this, I am also a proud Americorps VISTA alumni, having served my term with the Montana Campus Compact at the Blackstone LaunchPad at Montana State University.
Currently, I am co-founder and COO of Udaguru Enterprises, Inc. Our company has been going strong for the past decade and focuses on service, distribution, mixed media, and educational events. My partner and I are always looking for ways to expand our reach. When I am not working, my personal interests include: reading, gardening, movies, baking, photography, Zentangle, and Oula.
I have work and play in beautiful Bozeman, Montana with my husband, daughters, and black cat wizard extraordinaire–Merlyn Knightly Mandrake.
